I AM Exhibition

Olga has an acute perception of the world around her and a responsiveness to how spaces feel; which in essence is often influenced by the demeanor and dominance of those that occupy them. Through artistic expression, Olga is focusing on portraying her experiences and comprehension of life’s manifestations by bringing a shared sensibility of the structural, cerebral and ethereal world in this usually heavy laden topic of Mental health and stability.

In the end, the “I AM” Exhibition is a fusion of the innate complexity of human behavior and the manifestation of it in the structural and natural spaces we occupy. This Exhibition focuses on the mental state, both the issues that affect every human in our communities and how we can exist in Wellness and be functioning members of society in whatever state we find ourselves.

Current exhibition: Broken places, Open spaces

Let those trials and tribulations catapult you to triumph. This is the original exterior door of my house when a racist intruder broke in. I decided to create on it a work of Art using the Rastafari colors red, green, black and gold which all have a symbolic meaning. Red represents the blood of the martyrs, green the beauty of Africa, gold the wealth of Africa and black, African people.

Pending funding, the “DSBO Unity project” will launch in 2020. This will be a community project that will not only involve participation from Artists and the general public, but the door will become a traveling Exhibition in February 2020.
